Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all had a nice (for some of you, long) weekend!

We are in full planning mode

 (and by "we" I mean my patient fiance & I as I blab to him about my plans and he pretends to listen...)

and just can't wait to start tackling these house projects!

A smaller scale project, but one that is in fact important to me & my OCD,

 is properly dressing the windows.

We have a big window in the eat-in kitchen, and then 

the sweetest little window over the sink on the other side of the room.

Here's my dilema, do I let the big window treatments steal the show & leave the little sweet window to be naked and alone? If not how do I dress it up? Matching fabric? Coordinating? Help please!

What would you do?

Tomorrow, my love, a few friends and I

are going to the opening evening of

MIRANDA LAMBERT'S

newest tour.

As previously mentioned, I have a total lady crush on her.

Naturally, I want to look my best for her show.

I'm hoping to pull together a dress & boots combo.

Not specifically set on which dress, or which pair of boots

(though I would love them to be the cowboy ones)

Yesterday we chatted about painted floors

today I thought I'd share my other, less permanent way, to 

jazz up your floor.

I'm talking of course about the rug.

I like my rugs big, bold, playful, and probably cheap...

Something like this, although not so much on the price tags.

We finally close on our house this week

and there are a few projects that were eager to get done right away.

We have a few issues with flooring and I've been toying with the ideas of paint.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, and there are certainly more high-end looks,

but I kind of like the imperfection of it all.

What do you think?
