I'm back!

Whats up, blog world!?
So life has been a bit busy!
Wedding planning + wedding season
has gotten me a little over my head!

I do love blogging and the inspiration it provides me
but have been a bit overwhelmed as of late.

I'm making a (public) promise to post on the daily
and it all starts today!

How about we just catch up on what I've been up to since we last touched base...

Started some plans on the upstairs bathroom

Made some St. Patty's treats for my kids at Tiger Den

...we also decorated easter eggs
(yes it's been so long TWO holidays have gone by)

Had my patience tested with our 2 naughty dogs

Got our wedding invitations out
(I'll do a more detailed post about those soon)

...and have been receiving some RSVPS!!

I even got to celebrate Flynn Thomas' 1st birthday :)

Whew! That was quite a bit!
Promise to be back tomorrow with more.
Hope you're well!

Poppy goes the world

Color crush alert: Poppy!
In the kitchen, we have these tractor seat bar stools that are barn door red.
Todd was serious about keeping them the chippy true to life color they are, so it
forced me to add red to the kitchen's color scheme...

I'm not sure if it's because of the success of the kitchen, but all of a sudden I'm loving on the reds!
More specifically the orangey red I'm now adding into my bathroom - POPPY.
Ugh, does it get any better? I think not.

What colors have you been crushing on?

Black Velvet

If any of you follow me on Pinterest (and let's be real, you should)
You may have noticed my recent bathroom inspiration pictures.

Unfortunately (For Todd) the kitchen is becoming such a success that I officially have a
fire under me to finish other projects I'm not quite in love with.

Our bathroom being one of them.

I'm currently thinking black walls.  What do you think?

I'm in love. It's dark, but modern.
Moody, but still fab.
Would you dare? Should I?

Bourbon & Boots

Hey, Ya'll.
How was the weekend?
We had a good one, finished up some kitchen things (not complete - but almost!)
had a couple friends come in Saturday night & visited our great friend's brand new baby
on Sunday. What a peanut.

I'm not sure when or how, but somewhere in all of that I ended up at this website:

Gifts, food, clothes, art, all with some serious southern pride.
This site has it all.
I'm in love. You must go take a look.

Whats your favorite?

Kitchen Teaser

Home stretch here, folks.
We've just got a few small details to complete and then were
DONE WITH THE KITCHEN!

A little over two weeks? I'd say thats not too bad for a facelift :)
Here's some celly snaps to hold you over.
Hopefully back next week with some legit shots.

Have a great weekend!

Greytique

Well, in case you haven't been paying attention, grey and I are in a very serious relationship.
I know all you design savvy folk understand me,
but seriously I think there is grey in every room of the house.
Most people would picture a dreary drab abode longing for color and life,
BUT I PROMISE WE'VE GOT LOTS OF THAT TOO!!!!

This isn't going to happen this week, but my next big project for the kitchen
is to get a wood, rectangular shaped table for my new breakfast nook (!!!)
and Greywash it. I'm not sure if I'm making that word up or not, but here is my inspiration:

You know, a little beat up, looks like it's been out in the sun...
a needed change of pace from the dark wood we've got going on in the rest of the house.
(Don't get it twisted, super dark espresso wood is still my #1!)

So! Anyone successfully DIYed this?
Does it have an actual name that will make Googling such a project easier?
Anyone have a rectangular wood table they're looking to get rid of ;)

Howdy!
Today begins phase one of project 900 for the kitchen.
Any guesses what I'm making?

subtle, right?
