Sequins!

In the spirit of the sparkly new year, I dedicate this post to the fabulosity that is December 31st.
(which I can't believe is so soon.)

Here are some of my faves:

This Miso Sequin purse is the perfect little handful for New Years's.
Paired with a LBD (little black dress) and a fabulous trench, you'll be the talk of the town.

check it out here

This is the  coolest alternative to those wall decals.
Tracy Kendall designs all sorts of Wall Decals and Wallpaper

Check out her awesome site here

Nate Berkus, of Oprah fame designed this sassy throw pillow.
I love the combination with the uber-neutral chair.

His site is here

I have a blue one just like this Erin Fetherston beret.
In fact, as a true patriot, I wore it the day Obama got elected into office @ the big Grant Park Rally.
It was epic.

Much like Erin's other designs, found here

Could you die?
I'm dying.
Sassy, stylish, and did I mention sassy?

I am head over 5 inch heels in lust.

Miu Miu does it again.

This sequin cake was modeled (almost identically) off of a tablecloth at the same event.
Cake Coquette is responsible for this gem.
And Flirty Blog  is responsible for the post.
love 'em both.

Yes please!
Kelly green = great in my book.
I love the dual zipper, and this cute girl's sassy bangs.
find this and other's like it on The Daily UK's article about sequins

IN LOVE
As a ragin brunette, it has always been a fantasy of mine to be a platinum bleach blonde.
If I was you better believe I would be rocking this sequin head band and that bad-ass eyeliner.
thank you SugarScape  blog.

The Limited is selling them online for basically free
so go snag one.
Write your resolutions in them.

I hope your 2009 was as great as mine was.
Be safe, stylish, and inspired.

Pockets!

A little place to warm your hand or place your treasures.
For me, if it's got pockets, it's automatically better.

Here are some of my faves:

This is an armchair caddy, easily a DIY project with your own fabrics.
CraftGossip.com has the tutorial.

These handmade cutlery pockets, made by Kitchen Critic are so endearing.

This adorable apron by Courtney from Two Straight Lines is too cute for words,
I love the typed fabric worked into the eclectic collection.

these wine bags from Perpetual Kid   have 4 pockets in each bag,
a perfect place to hold cute coasters, or whatever your heart desires.

Country Living calls this their Pocket Board.

Pinstripes!

I love the preppy nautical feel stripes give to almost anything.

Here are some of my faves:

I'll have three.
MarleyandLocker posted this chair on her elegant blog and I just about fell out of my chair.
This would be a fun and easy redo to a rummage sale find.
Sign me up!

While I'm not personally a journal-er, I love notebooks for all sorts of things.
This navy and khaki one from Olive Manna Papergoods is right up my alley.

Perf!
I love the thick, bold, red stripes. I think this would look nice on a darker lamp, for a little contrast.
Check out My First Room's other options too.

I would wear a hole in this bag.
Perfect for the summer and holding all those little things a fabulous lady needs.
Found in Straw Studio's plethora of finds.

I am really loving on striped wallpaper these days. Here is a modern example and below a more traditional one.

The stripes really create an elongation of the room whether grandiose like this foyer or small and intimate like the room above.
Check out some more striped interior ideas here

A little preppy flat! I love!
This would be the perfect way to break up some skinnies and a leather bomber!
I found them here

I love the black/turquoise combo. These little boy shorts are from Victoria's Secret's Pink line ,
and it would be suffice to say that I am obsessed.

How about this personalized little number?
A great way to keep track of your janitor stash of keys.
Glitzy-Glam does a great job!

I am a sucker for funky glasses, so obviously these glasses and I had a very passionate romance via my computer screen. I love everything about them, except the fact that I don't own them.

and if your feeling really cheeky, you can store them in this cute case:

As so cleverly displayed on Velvet's website.

I would spend a lot less money at Starbucks if I had this cute mug to fill up.
or for you accident prone peeps, like myself,
this might be a better option:
Anjie from Pom Pom Emporium  sewed this devilishly cute mug.

and to end on a sweet note,

Pretty Cool Cakes' expertly executed striped heart cookie.
The perfect way to say I Love You.

Which I do.

More posts later!
